Brief

One connected production across three event spaces

The production extended across the main awards ballroom, reception drinks area and VIP space, with each area requiring its own carefully coordinated technical setup. The main ballroom formed the centrepiece of the event, while the reception and VIP areas continued the experience with dedicated sound, lighting, video and scenic elements. Managing the complete technical package allowed the event branding and production quality to remain consistent throughout the venue.

Challenge

Live video and presentation control

A two-camera IMAG system captured the ceremony and delivered live coverage to the screens throughout the ballroom. Centralised video switching, screen management and presentation control allowed awards content, sponsor graphics and live camera feeds to move smoothly between the main LED wall, vertical totems and relay screens. Audio designed for complete room coverage The main audio system combined d&b loudspeakers and subwoofers with digital mixing and Sennheiser wireless microphones. It provided clear and even coverage across the ballroom for presenters, award announcements, playback and live contributions. Lighting that unified the room Moving spot and wash fixtures, LED battens, pixel tubes and wireless uplighters extended the event’s blue and gold identity beyond the screens. Architectural lighting highlighted the ballroom ceiling and chandeliers, while carefully positioned stage lighting added depth and energy to the awards presentation. Production beyond the main stage The reception drinks area featured a DJ booth, dedicated sound system, event lighting, two 75-inch table-plan displays and a 3.66 m × 2.44 m printed backdrop. A separate VIP space was supported with its own PA system, wireless microphone, playback system and wireless uplighting. Together, the three technical setups created a consistent guest experience from arrival through to the main ceremony.

Solution

A stage built around large-format LED

A 5.5 m × 3 m Absen 2.5 mm LED wall formed the centre of the main stage. Four additional 1 m × 2.5 m vertical LED totems displayed sponsor content on either side, creating a total of 26.5 m² of LED across five displays. Two 86-inch relay screens were positioned at the ends of the ballroom to maintain clear sightlines throughout the room. A branded digital lectern, black starcloth and integrated lighting completed the stage design.
