Scenic Fabrication
Scenic fabrication that gives ideas a physical presence.
Event Production — Stage Engage

01 — Overview
Some ideas cannot be achieved with standard hire equipment. They need to be drawn, engineered and made specifically for the space, the brand and the experience.
Our in-house scenic team creates everything from stage sets and branded backdrops to exhibition features, interactive installations and unusual one-off builds. Each piece is developed with its real-world use in mind, balancing visual impact with strength, practicality and efficient installation.

02 — The Detail
More than a backdrop
Scenic elements shape how people see and move through an event. They can frame a stage, define separate areas, create a memorable photo opportunity or turn an empty venue into an environment that feels completely different.
We look beyond individual pieces to consider their scale, position, finish and relationship with the surrounding architecture. The result feels deliberately placed within the space rather than simply added to it.
Made for the brief
Our workshop combines traditional construction skills with digital design and CNC manufacturing, allowing us to produce accurate components, complex shapes and detailed finishes.
Depending on the design, a build might incorporate timber, sheet materials, acrylic, print, vinyl, integrated screens or lighting. Materials and construction methods are chosen to achieve the intended appearance while remaining suitable for transport, assembly and use around an audience.
Branding without limitations
Standard signs and printed panels only go so far. Scenic fabrication allows a brand identity to extend into the physical environment through dimensional lettering, shaped walls, product displays, illuminated features and large-scale installations.
Colours, textures, logos and architectural forms can all become part of the build, giving guests something tangible to explore, photograph and remember.
Designed for the realities of site
A successful scenic build must do more than look good in a visual. It needs to fit through access routes, arrive safely, be assembled within the available schedule and remain stable throughout the event.
We account for venue restrictions, floor loading, fixing methods, fire performance, audience contact and dismantling during development. Modular construction can also be used where pieces need to travel, be stored or return for future events.
Finished with care
Clean joins, consistent surfaces and precise branding make an enormous difference when a scenic element is viewed at close range. Our fabricators pay careful attention to the details that elevate a build beyond its basic structure.
We can provide painting, applied graphics, routed lettering, laminates, upholstery and other decorative finishes to create the right character, whether the brief calls for something refined, playful, industrial or deliberately theatrical.

04 — FAQ
Custom fabrication opens up far more creative possibilities, but it can also raise practical questions. Here is what you may want to know before starting a scenic project.
What can your scenic workshop create?
We can produce stage sets, branded backdrops, scenic walls, arches, counters, lecterns, display units, photo opportunities, dimensional lettering, exhibition features and interactive installations. If you have something less conventional in mind, we can explore how it could be constructed.
Can you work from our existing design?
Yes. We can manufacture from supplied creative artwork, technical drawings or an established visual concept. Our team will review the design and recommend any adjustments needed to make it practical, safe and achievable within the venue.
Can you develop the design for us?
Yes. You can approach us with a detailed brief, a rough sketch or simply an objective. We can develop the concept, define the materials and finishes, and prepare the build for manufacture.
Can scenic pieces include screens or lighting?
Yes. Video displays, LED products, practical lighting and other technical elements can be incorporated into the structure. Planning these features during the design stage helps conceal cabling and create a cleaner overall finish.
Can a build be reused for future events?
Where repeat use is expected, we can design the structure in modular sections with replaceable graphics and durable finishes. This makes it easier to transport, store, rebuild and adapt for different spaces or campaigns.
Do you deliver and install the finished scenery?
Yes. We can manage transport, on-site assembly, positioning and removal after the event. Installation requirements are considered throughout the build so the process is planned before the scenery reaches the venue.
